In 1985 a dream was turned into reality when Echo Cycle opened its doors to the recreational vehicle industry. The store started as a franchised Husqvarna dealer specializing in performance modifications to motocross bikes and repairs & sales of lawn and garden equipment. Echo Cycle took a big step in 1987 when we became a franchised Kawasaki retailer. Our customer base began to expand and strengthen as we strived for the reputation of a dealer that has exceptional personalized service. Our hard work did not go unrecognized; in 1991 we received Kawasaki's greatest honor, the Top Dealer Retail Award. We didn't stop there...We are celebrating our 23th anniversary with Kawasaki and we are proud to boast “The oldest Kawasaki dealer in town." Today, we still receive many service and sales awards recognizing our commitment to our valued customers.
1994 was proven to be a great year when Echo Cycle was selectively chosen to re-enter Triumph motorcycles to the Canadian market. A lot of time and hard work was put into introducing customers to the re-engineered Triumphs. Again it did not go unrecognized. Outstanding sales, service and customer satisfaction rewarded us with Triumph Canada's Dealer of the Year Award for many consecutive years. To date we have been awarded with over 15 various Triumph awards, we have introduced the first Canadian Triumph concept store and continue to excel with this truly dynamic line-up of British Motorcycles. Having just celebrated their 15th year in Canada, Triumph earned this caption “British manufacturer is the fastest growing motorcycle brand in Canada” We are proud and honored to have been a part of this achievement.
1996 brought to us our first year as a retail dealer of Arctic Cat snowmobiles and ATV'S. We quickly excelled with these products and became one of their premier dealers. Remaining in platinum and gold dealer status with Arctic Cat over the past decade has proven that we are experts in our industry and take customer service serious. Our most recent achievement came after an extremely successful snowmobile season and our first dramatic snowfall in 7 year; armed with the prestigious “2007 Canadian Dealer of the Year” award we look forward to each new season.
In 2005 we returned to our roots and re-invested in Husqvarna motorcycles. Just as though they were never gone the excitement surrounding them was quickly reignited. Look for the new generation of Husky on the tracks and streets near you. For 2010, Barrett Marketing has taken on the Husky distribution and we are so excited to be working with them again.
In 2006 all dealerships were feeling the pressure of the Chinese products in our market. We did a lot of researched but needed to have a product line with excellent support and part distribution; that’s when we found Konker Motors; a young business dedicated to quality and development. We met with Alan and his enthusiasm is truly contagious and he has always been supportive. We look forward to another season with them.
In 2007 Echo Cycle added a “Taste of Italy” to their lineup with Moto Guzzi and Aprilia Motorcycles. The designers of these motorcycles recognize practicality, quality & uniqueness in each of their models. Racing heritage from flat track to road racing to the mx track, they have every model dialed just right. With recent changes in the distribution into Canada, we are looking forward to working with Piaggio America to showcase new model in 2010 and continue to build our customer base and new relationships.
As always, we strive to provide the best customer service experience we can. We look forward to earning your business and friendship in the years to come.
